Sylt combines openness and discretion in a way few other German islands manage. Getting there over the Hindenburgdamm, hunting for a parking space in Westerland or waiting at the small island airport all cost valuable time that most guests would rather spend on the stay itself. The Driversline car service takes exactly these things off your hands and stays with you from the first moment of arrival to the journey home. Trained chauffeurs, a modern fleet and flexible ways of booking keep every journey on the island running smoothly. Precisely because many guests use the island for a short but intense stay, every minute saved on arrival counts twice.

Limousine and chauffeur service Sylt

Sylt calls for a way of travelling that suits the island. The Driversline chauffeur service takes you in a premium sedan to dinner in Kampen, to a business meeting in Westerland or to a private appointment of your choosing. Selected vehicles and trained drivers make every journey a stylish part of the stay. Private travellers and business clients meet the same high standard of discretion and comfort. Not an off-the-peg car service, but a journey that adapts to your occasion rather than the other way round.

Airport transfer Sylt

Between landing and arriving at your accommodation lies the least comfortable part of many a trip. Driversline takes that stretch off your hands, whether straight from Sylt Airport or from one of the major German airports such as Hamburg or Hanover. Your chauffeur meets you and your luggage in person and brings you to your destination on the island without detours. The return journey to your flight is organised just as dependably and punctually. This attention to detail, from the parking space to the onward connection, turns an ordinary transfer into an arrival that already feels like the holiday.

Shuttle service Sylt

Travelling together deserves more than a plain vehicle with plenty of seats. The Driversline shuttle service gets families, travel parties and guests at special occasions to their destination safely, within a concept that has been thought through. Vans and, depending on numbers, coaches offer room enough for luggage and fellow travellers. At weddings, company events or private celebrations on the island in particular, our team takes on the whole logistics between accommodation, venue and the journey home. That way every journey stays part of the occasion rather than merely necessary transport.

Long-distance journeys from Sylt

Some journeys do not end at the island's edge. For destinations throughout Germany and Europe, Driversline takes on the long run as well, planned individually and without changes. Instead of sitting at the wheel yourself, you use the time in the car for yourself, for preparation, or simply for quiet. Experienced chauffeurs know the routes and plan breaks and arrival times precisely, even on journeys of several hours between northern and southern Germany or across the border. Business travellers reach their appointments rested; private travellers take the route without any effort at all. Stops along the way or routes over several days are agreed entirely as you wish.

Looking forward to the island begins with a comfortable journey there.

Getting there

Getting to Sylt: the car train as a particular challenge.

By car the island can be reached only by car train over the Hindenburgdamm or by ferry from the Danish island of Rømø. Depending on the wait at the loading terminal, the journey time from Hamburg varies by up to three hours. Anyone who would rather avoid that uncertainty is collected straight from Sylt Airport or Westerland station — Driversline plans the collection time with time in hand and responds at short notice to delays on the causeway or the ferry.

Waiting times at the loading terminal in Niebüll vary by season, and the journey time from Hamburg can stretch by up to three hours.

  • Ferry from Rømø (Denmark)

An alternative on busy weekends, though it means crossing the Danish border first.

Pickup

Airport transfers and station collections on the island.

Families on holiday, couples over a long weekend and groups on business all benefit equally from flexible timing when flights are delayed or the start of the trip shifts at short notice. Your chauffeur follows the flight status and adjusts the arrival time at the airport accordingly, so that no time is lost waiting at the gate. That flexibility holds for larger parties too, who arrive in several waves and want to be collected one group after another.

Does Driversline collect at the station and the airport on Sylt as well?

Driversline collects travellers on Sylt both at the airport and at Westerland station, and on request also accompanies your own journey by private car over the Hindenburgdamm.

More about our chauffeurs

Trust

Safety and discretion on the island.

Every Driversline vehicle is fitted with GPS, and the chauffeurs hold the licence for commercial passenger transport required by law. This is there first and foremost for safety during the journey and for dependable dispatch at a place with limited access such as Sylt. Discretion matters particularly to many of the island's guests, above all on business trips or private stays where attention is to be avoided. Your chauffeur treats all information about the journey confidentially and, on request, agrees pick-up points out of public view.

Dining

Chauffeurs take you to the best restaurants on Sylt.

Beyond the transfer itself, your chauffeur also drives you to the island's well-known addresses, from Kampen's Whiskymeile to the various Gosch locations. Guests get in right outside their accommodation rather than hunting for a parking space, and are collected again after the meal. In the summer months in particular, when tables book up quickly, the chauffeur checks opening hours and reservations beforehand.

  • Sansibar

  • Gosch

    Several locations across the island.
