Standards
Whoever is at the wheel makes the journey
The vehicle class is what you notice first, but the quality of a journey is decided in the driver's seat. An experienced chauffeur reads the traffic, the time buffers and the mood in the back before you have to mention any of it. That is exactly the difference between being transported and being driven professionally: you get in without having to explain anything, and you get out without having to follow anything up.
So that this does not depend on how any one driver happens to be that day, a fixed set of requirements sits behind every journey. Passengers should be able to rely on the same standards applying in Hamburg as in Frankfurt, Munich or on Sylt.
The requirements cover
- Formal qualifications
- Bearing
- Dress
- Conduct at the pick-up point
Driversline chauffeurs hold the passenger transport licence required by law and bring years of experience.
Qualification
This applies to every chauffeur on duty
-
Experienced drivers
Years of practice as a chauffeur, plus onboarding before the first assignment for Driversline.
-
Passenger transport licence
Officially confirmed fitness to drive, local knowledge and a clean criminal record certificate.
-
Defensive driving training
The chauffeurs take part in defensive driving training regularly. That trains them beyond the compulsory qualification.
-
Multilingual
Every driver speaks German and English. Further languages are possible on request.
-
Discretion
Conversations, names and destinations stay in the car. No questions about the occasion or the background.
Vetting & training
Vetted, trained and tested regularly
Before the first journey for Driversline comes a fixed process. The passenger transport licence is only the entry ticket: it confirms fitness to drive, local knowledge and a clean criminal record certificate. On top of that comes a structured onboarding. Being hired is not the end of it: driving ability remains the subject of ongoing training, supplemented by briefings on new vehicle models.
Training takes place at the ADAC Fahrsicherheitszentrum Hansa in Embsen near Lüneburg, the largest facility of its kind in northern Germany. Across some 21 hectares there are modules for braking on wet surfaces, skid pans on bends, downhill stretches and evasive manoeuvres. What gets practised is what should never happen in ordinary driving: the sudden lane change in front of you, the locked wheel on a bend, the tail of a traffic jam spotted too late. A chauffeur who knows these limits drives more calmly in normal service, and keeps a greater distance.
In the end, what counts is how you arrive.
Trust
Discretion means what is confidential stays confidential
Confidential phone calls, guests' names, destinations that are nobody else's business: whatever is said during the journey stays in the car. At Driversline, discretion is not an extra but part of what is required of every chauffeur. It applies from the moment you get in and does not end when you get out. You do not need to ask for it.
- No joining conversations in the back uninvited
- No questions about the occasion or background of your journey
- No passing of names, destinations or appointments to third parties
- Vehicle tracking only during service use
- Access to location data by authorised staff only
- Automatic deletion of that data after 28 days at the latest
Languages
Multilingual, for international guests
Driversline chauffeurs speak German and English. Further languages are possible on request. Just ask us.
When you receive business partners or delegations from abroad, the first encounter at the terminal shapes the impression of the whole stay. A chauffeur who speaks your guests' language takes on more than the driving at that point: they explain the plan, answer questions about the hotel, and take the uncertainty out of an arrival in which your guests know neither the place nor the language. Do tell us your language preference when you ask. We then check whether a chauffeur with that language is available for your appointment.

Responsibility
Who carries out your journey
Within its own service area Driversline carries out every journey with its own drivers and its own fleet. The basis is the licence under § 49 PBefG. Beyond that, a network of contract partners drives, to the same requirements. Driversline remains your contract partner. Who is standing at the pick-up point is settled in advance.
-

-

How it works
How your chauffeur reaches you
From request to arrival there are four steps. You need neither a customer account nor an app.
Request
Send the occasion, date, party size and language preference, by phone or through the form.
Quote
You receive an individual quote with vehicle class and route, non-binding and with no payment up front.
Confirmation
With the order confirmation, the booking is binding.
Pick-up
Your chauffeur is ready at the agreed time, at the airport with a name board on request.
You receive your chauffeur's name and phone number the day before the journey.
Between two appointments lies your quiet time.
Time in the car that is yours, because someone else is handling the rest.
Service
What else your chauffeur takes on
Driving is the visible part of the work. You notice the rest mainly by not having to think about it: your luggage changes hands before you reach for it, and the car is already where you need to be next.
- Luggage is taken care of on boarding and at the destination
- Questions about the route, the time buffer or a restaurant are answered by your chauffeur from local knowledge
- Waiting time between two appointments is planned in; the vehicle stays reserved for you
- Driversline provides child seats and booster seats if ordered in advance, ISOFIX on request
Fleet
Which vehicle your chauffeur arrives in
Which model is used depends on the occasion, the number of passengers and the luggage. Your chauffeur is briefed on every vehicle class, so switching between sedan, van and coach is possible without restriction.
