Sustainability at Driversline

All-electric vehicles in daily use, renewable power and our own charging points in Hamburg: this page sets out what Driversline is working on when it comes to sustainability, and what can be evidenced.

Overview

What Driversline is working on in sustainability

Driversline works on four areas: the environment, labour and human rights, ethics, and procurement. This page documents where each of them stands today. All-electric vehicles are out in regular day-to-day service and charge in Hamburg at our own charging points, with power from renewable sources.

Overview

Four fields on which sustainability is decided

Tenders and sustainability reports ask about four fields. This page goes through them in turn and states where each one stands at Driversline.

  • Environment

Which vehicles are bought and what they charge with. At Driversline that means all-electric models in day-to-day service and renewable power in Hamburg.

  • Labour and human rights

Who carries out the journeys, and under what conditions. Driversline drives with its own, permanently employed drivers.

  • Ethics

How confidential matters, information and commitments are handled. What is said during the journey stays in the vehicle.

  • Procurement

The criteria by which partner companies are selected and contracts reviewed. Driversline is building a single set of criteria for this.

Electric

Arriving quietly, in all-electric vehicles

All-electric vehicles are a permanent part of the fleet and are out for you every day. In service these models stay locally emission-free, the interior is noticeably quieter and conversation works without effort even while moving. With every new purchase the electric share of the fleet grows further, because this drivetrain already proves itself across many kinds of use.

An all-electric vehicle can be requested specifically for your journey. Say so when you book and the team checks availability for your location and your date. For long distances or a large volume of luggage you receive a realistic assessment and a proposal that suits how your day runs.

Charging Power

In Hamburg the vehicles charge on renewable power

In Hamburg, Driversline draws power from renewable sources and operates its own charging points there. The electric vehicles therefore charge on site, predictably and independently of public charging infrastructure. This statement applies expressly to Hamburg. At the other locations charging depends on local conditions and is checked case by case for your booking.

For your journey that means reliability above all. Charging times are planned firmly into dispatch, the vehicles stand ready with sufficient range, and your appointment is untouched by it. If you need more precise figures on the Hamburg head office for a project or a tender, Driversline puts the available documents together on request.

Labour & Human Rights

Labour and human rights within our own operation

Sustainability also concerns the people who carry the driving operation. Driversline performs every booking itself, with its own fleet and its own drivers.

The Driversline chauffeurs are permanently employed, hold the passenger transport licence and bring years of experience. The legal framework is the licence under § 49 PBefG. For journeys beyond its own service area, vetted partner companies come in. The same requirements on licensing, insurance and driver qualification apply to them.

Business Ethics

How information and commitments are handled

At Driversline discretion is part of what is required of every chauffeur: names, destinations and appointments do not go to third parties, and conversations in the rear stay in the vehicle.

The same stance applies to commitments in business dealings; Driversline names integrity as one of its four company values. Personal data is processed in line with the GDPR, with the details set out in the privacy policy.

Partners

Clear criteria for partners and contracts

In selecting partner companies and reviewing contractual agreements, sustainability criteria carry growing weight. Driversline is currently building a single set of criteria for this and is working it into the awarding of contracts step by step. These criteria are among them:

The basis remains the commitment to carry out bookings with our own fleet and our own drivers. Where partners are used in addition, the same requirements apply.

  • Licensing and insurance in line with the requirements for commercial passenger transport
  • Qualification and vetting of the drivers used
  • Figures on vehicle technology, drivetrain and the age of the vehicles used
  • Contractual provisions on working conditions and hours of use

ESG Reporting

Request figures for your ESG reports

For tenders and sustainability reports, companies need figures on their service providers that will hold up: on vehicles, drivetrains or distances driven. Do ask Driversline about it.

Describe the scope, the period and the format you want, and you receive an answer for your case. The scope of what is provided is settled separately for each request. More on working with companies under Business Solutions.

  • Scope: which journeys, and how many
  • Period: for which reporting period
  • Format: what your reporting standard requires
