Frankfurt Airport
From Frankfurt Airport straight to your destination
Frankfurt Airport (IATA: FRA) lies around 12 kilometres south-west of the Frankfurt city centre. Passengers are handled across Terminal 1 with concourses A, B and C, Terminal 2 with concourses D and E, and Terminal 3 in the south of the airport, opened in April 2026.
Three terminals set the pattern at Germany's largest air hub, and each is served separately. The operator is Fraport AG, and in the Rhine-Main region the airport is still known colloquially as the Rhein-Main-Flughafen. On arrivals your chauffeur collects you on the arrivals level of the terminal where your aircraft actually lands. Before departures we drive to the set-down on the matching departures level, so the walk to the check-in desk stays short. Every journey is a private transfer. You share the car with nobody, there are no stops and no collection round through the city — just a direct run from the terminal to your address.
- Terminal 1, concourses A, B and C: the meeting point is in the arrivals area of the relevant concourse
- Terminal 2, concourses D and E: the meeting point is in the central arrivals area
- Terminal 3, in operation since April 2026: the meeting point is in the terminal's arrivals area
Terminal 1
Concourses A, B and C
Flights of the Lufthansa group and its partners land at Terminal 1. Because the arrivals areas differ from concourse to concourse, the meeting point follows your aircraft's concourse rather than the terminal as a whole. You are given it together with the chauffeur's name and mobile number before you set off. On departures we drive to the set-down on the departures level, so that only a few steps lie between the car and the check-in desk.
- The meeting point is in the concourse's arrivals area
- Set-down on the departures level for departures
- The meeting point confirmed in writing beforehand
Terminal 2
Concourses D and E
Terminal 2 is laid out more simply, so the central arrivals area serves as the meeting point for both concourses. Your chauffeur stands beyond the exit from baggage reclaim and takes your cases and leads the way as soon as you come through. If the terminal changes at short notice, after a rebooking for instance, the pick-up point moves with it and the agreed price stays the same.
- The central arrivals area as the meeting point
- A change of terminal at no extra charge
- Help with luggage from the meeting point on
Terminal 3
The new terminal in the south
The third terminal has been in operation since April 2026, in the south of the airport with an approach of its own. Your chauffeur drives straight to the terminal's set-down, and you are given the meeting point in the arrivals area beforehand, as at the other terminals. A rebooking to Terminal 1 or 2 changes nothing: what counts is the terminal where your aircraft actually lands.
- In operation since April 2026
- Its own approach in the south of the airport
- The meeting point confirmed in writing beforehand
Connections into the region
- The A5 towards the centre, the banking district and the fair
- The A3 and A66 towards Wiesbaden and Mainz
- The A5 south towards Darmstadt and the Bergstraße
- Further destinations within just under an hour's drive: Offenbach, Bad Homburg, Hanau, Rüsselsheim
Meet & Greet
At the terminal, someone is already waiting for you.
The meeting point is in the arrivals area of the relevant terminal, just beyond the exit from baggage reclaim. Driversline gives the chauffeur's name and mobile number before the journey.
After a long flight, looking out into an unfamiliar arrivals hall is rarely the pleasantest moment of a journey. That is exactly why your chauffeur is already standing there, plainly visible with a name board, taking your luggage and leading the way. You walk straight to the waiting car at the terminal set-down, with no search for a car park and no queue at the taxi rank.
-
A name board in the arrivals area

Setting off with no wait
The car is ready and the journey begins with no further waiting.
When something goes differently
A short call is enough and the chauffeur moves the meeting point. You have his mobile number before the journey, so there is no detour via a switchboard.
The car stays where it is. Extra minutes at the terminal do not change the agreed price.
The pick-up point is changed at no extra charge. What counts is always the terminal where your aircraft actually arrives, so you need not travel between Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 on the Sky Line yourself.
Flight Tracking
Your flight is late, your car waits
Driversline monitors every flight before the collection. The collection time follows the actual landing, not the arrival time originally scheduled.
Delays are everyday business at a hub this size. Your flight number is therefore followed until the aircraft touches down, and the chauffeur's departure moves with it automatically. The agreed price is untouched by that.
Flight monitoring active
- Scheduled landing 2:20 pm
- Actual landing 3:05 pm
- Pick-up 3:05 pmPrice unchanged
- Free waiting time after landing 30 minutescounted only once you are through the arrival
The waiting time is counted generously: from touchdown we allow 15 minutes for the walk into the arrivals hall, and only then do the 30 included minutes begin. For travel agencies and cruise connections there are rates with 60 minutes' waiting.
The pilot lands safely. After that, your chauffeur takes over.
Routes
Every destination from Frankfurt Airport (FRA), quickly reached
In the Rhine-Main region, journey times depend heavily on the hour and the traffic, especially on the A5 and around the Frankfurter Kreuz. For collections we therefore allow a margin set by your flight number and the time of day. For departures we plan so that you reach check-in with time to spare.
| Destination from Frankfurt Airport (FRA) | Distance | Journey time |
|---|---|---|
| Frankfurt city centre and the banking district | approx. 13 km | approx. 20 min. |
| Messe Frankfurt | approx. 11 km | approx. 15 min. |
| Frankfurt main station | approx. 12 km | approx. 18 min. |
| Hotels in the Westend and around the fair | approx. 13 km | approx. 20 min. |
| Mainz | approx. 30 km | approx. 25 min. |
| Wiesbaden | approx. 35 km | approx. 30 min. |
| Darmstadt | approx. 35 km | approx. 30 min. |
Times can vary, since they depend on the traffic.
Both ways
The way there, the way back and everything in between
Both directions can be booked together or separately, with different vehicle classes and different addresses. Several stops within one booking are possible too — a call at the office, say, or picking up fellow travellers across the city. On business trips lasting several days we gather hotel, appointments and airport into one plan, so that you need not give the same details twice.
-
Departure transfer
- Collection at the address you choose
- Lead time matched to the airline and the destination
- The drive to the departures level of your terminal
- Stops along the way if you wish
-
Arrival transfer
- A greeting in the arrivals hall
- Collection by your actual landing time
- The drive to your destination with no detour
- Onward journeys the same day are possible
Overland
Long distance from Frankfurt: drive instead of wait
Sometimes the road is the better answer. Cancelled flights, blocked slots or a connection that is too tight are often settled faster by one continuous drive than by the next available ticket. Three typical cases:
- A cancelled flight, with the onward journey made straight by road
- Routes where getting there, checking in and flying take longer together than the drive
- Several destinations one after another, with the luggage staying in the car
Ask about long distance
Give us the start, the destination and the window of time, and you receive a fixed price for the whole journey.
Luggage
Room for suitcases, a golf bag and a pushchair
The number of passengers and the amount of luggage decide the vehicle class, which is why the form asks for both. A sedan is enough for business travellers with hand luggage and a case, while families with children or delegations with exhibition material need noticeably more room. The overview helps you judge before you ask.
- up to 3Passengers
Sedan
The Mercedes-Benz E-Class and the long-wheelbase S-Class. Two pieces of hand luggage and two suitcases, or one XL case depending on the model.
- up to 3Passengers
Luxury Class
The Mercedes-Maybach S-Class. Two pieces of hand luggage and two suitcases.
- up to 3Passengers
Electric sedan
The BMW i7. Two pieces of hand luggage and two suitcases.
- up to 7Passengers
Van
The Mercedes-Benz V-Class, or the electric Mercedes EQV. Up to six suitcases, or four XL cases in the V-Class.
- up to 19Passengers
VIP-Sprinter
Mercedes-Benz Sprinter with VIP fit-out. Luggage space depends on the seating; please state the amount in your request.
Worth knowing
- Please mention outsize luggage such as golf bags, ski equipment, instruments or exhibits when you ask
- Child seats to order: an infant carrier, a child seat or a booster seat, with ISOFIX if you wish — please give the type and number when booking; not possible at short notice
- From about eight people on, a shuttle or coach service is better than several separate cars
Twelve kilometres. And not one thought about the route.
Occasions
A business appointment, a family holiday, a stand at the fair
Frankfurt brings together travellers who could hardly be more different: executives on their way to the banking district, families before a holiday flight, exhibitors with material for the fair. What they need is much the same: a vehicle at the right terminal at the right time.
-
Business travel
With appointments in the centre or across the Rhine-Main region.
-
Private travel
In a car of your own rather than a shared bus, early departures included.
-
Families with children
Who depend on child seats and short walks.
-
Delegations and guests of honour
With multilingual support from the arrivals area on.
-
Onward journeys
To cruise ports or on from the main station.
24/7
Your car is there at four in the morning too
Early departure waves and late intercontinental arrivals pay no attention to office hours, so journeys can be booked around the clock. Collections before the first departure slot are planned so that you reach check-in without rushing. Late landings and arrivals after midnight are served, as are weekends and public holidays.
- Early collection before the first departure slot
- Night arrivals and landings after midnight
- Weekends and public holidays with no surcharge on the fixed price
- Night journeys need more notice — please ask early
Booking
Your price is settled before you get in
A fixed price is agreed before the journey and stands, whatever the traffic, a diversion or waiting at the terminal. No meter is used, so you know the final amount at the moment of confirmation. That makes the transfer straightforward to cost and bill for company bookings too.
- Kilometres driven
- The agreed waiting time
- Luggage, and help stowing it
- Tolls and parking fees
- VAT

At the wheel
Chauffeurs who make your guests welcome
Driversline chauffeurs hold the passenger transport licence required by law, bring years of experience and speak German and English, with further languages on request.
Meeting international guests is where the difference shows most clearly. A multilingual chauffeur handles the welcome at the terminal, answers quick questions about the plan and walks your guests to the car with no language barrier. Discretion, knowledge of the Rhine-Main region and a well-turned-out appearance are all part of what is required.
More about the chauffeursFleet
The vehicle follows your luggage
On an airport transfer what decides matters is above all the luggage, less the fittings in detail. For a single traveller with a case and hand luggage the sedan is enough; families and teams gain from the van's far greater load space; larger groups travel together in the VIP Sprinter. Emission-free alternatives are available with the BMW i7 and the Mercedes EQV.
To the fleetDirect provider
Booked directly with Driversline
Within its own service area the journeys are carried out by us, with our own fleet and our own drivers. Your request stays with Driversline. One contact sees it through from the request to the invoice. You have one fixed contact who stays with the booking from the request to the arrival. A shared transfer is the opposite model: there you share the car with strangers, and the collection round decides when you arrive. Against a taxi at the terminal or a broker app, the difference lies in the firm promise: the vehicle and the chauffeur are scheduled in advance, rather than being whatever is free the moment you land.
- Our own vehicles and our own drivers
- One contact from the request to the arrival
- A fixed price before you set off, with nothing recalculated afterwards
- Licensed under the German Passenger Transport Act, with every vehicle approved and insured
- The same standard of quality, nationwide
FAQ
Frequently asked questions about airport transfers in Frankfurt
The price follows the route, the vehicle class, the number of passengers and the time of day, and is confirmed as a fixed price before the journey. Driversline charges no meter rate; tolls, parking fees and waiting time are included in the quote.
The run into the centre is around 13 kilometres and takes about 20 minutes. Depending on the traffic, Driversline allows a corresponding margin, especially in rush hour around the Frankfurter Kreuz.
The meeting point is in the arrivals area of the relevant terminal, just beyond the exit from baggage reclaim. Driversline gives the exact meeting point and the chauffeur's name and mobile number before the journey.
No. Driversline drives private transfers only. The vehicle is for you and your party alone; no other travellers get in.
Yes, journeys can be booked around the clock, including arrivals after midnight and collections before the first departure slot. Night journeys need considerably more notice than daytime ones; booking the evening before is not enough.
The flight data is monitored before the collection, and the collection time follows the actual landing. A delay does not change the agreed fixed price.
How much luggage is possible depends on the vehicle class chosen, from a single case to the baggage of a travelling party. Outsize luggage such as golf bags, skis or instruments is best mentioned with the request itself.
Yes, Driversline provides child seats and restraints when they are registered with the booking, with type and number – an infant carrier, a child seat or a booster seat, with ISOFIX if you wish. At short notice that cannot be promised.
With about two days' notice almost any request can be met, and that also secures the vehicle class you want during Frankfurt's trade fair weeks. Driversline checks short-notice requests against availability at the location.
Cancellations are possible under the agreed terms; what counts is the type of service and when you cancel. The applicable periods are set out in the Driversline terms and conditions.
Within its own service area Driversline carries out the bookings with its own fleet and its own drivers. Beyond that, a network of contract partners drives, to the same requirements. Driversline remains your contract partner.
Yes, we arrange it on request. Whether the handover at the aircraft is possible is decided by the airport. Please allow some lead time.
