How many people fit in the Maybach GLS?

You travel in the rear with up to three guests. The rear lounge is built around two individual seats, with a third place available in addition. For larger groups we recommend the V-Class or the Sprinter VIP.

How much luggage does the GLS take?

Up to three suitcases fit in the boot, considerably more than in the Maybach S-Class. If you are travelling with sports equipment or bulky items, please tell us when you ask and we will check the volume beforehand.

Can I hire the Maybach GLS without a chauffeur?

No. We do not rent out self-drive vehicles. The GLS is available exclusively with one of our chauffeurs, in line with our licence under the German passenger transport act.

Why an SUV rather than a sedan?

The GLS plays to its strengths as soon as seating height, luggage or the approach at your destination matter. You step in upright, sit high and fit up to three suitcases. You give up nothing in the rear fittings for that.

Is the GLS suitable for winter journeys?

Yes. All-wheel drive and air suspension make it the calmer choice when road conditions are uncertain. For winter appointments we plan extra travel time in, so that your schedule holds.

How far in advance should I book the GLS?

For a single transfer, a few days is often enough. For multi-day assignments and during the trade fair season we recommend two to four weeks' notice, because the GLS is in the fleet only in limited numbers.

In which regions is the GLS available?

We dispatch nationwide from our head office in Hamburg. The GLS is often requested in the north, for journeys to Sylt or into the area around Hamburg and Bremen. Journeys outside the locations are planned with the car's own journey there.

Step-In Comfort

When the sedan reaches its limits

What customers mainly hire with the Maybach GLS is seating height. The seat in the rear sits at roughly hip height, so you step in and out upright. For some guests that one detail decides how the day begins. Sitting high, you also keep the surroundings in view.

Approach roads play the second part. Cobblestones outside historic hotels, unsurfaced tracks to country estates and snow-covered roads in winter push a low-slung sedan to its limits. Air suspension and 4MATIC all-wheel drive take those situations off the GLS. At the same time, E-Active Body Control levels out unevenness before it reaches the rear.

Airport transfer

On a trip lasting several days the boot decides it: up to three suitcases fit without the rear becoming cramped. Your chauffeur meets you at the terminal and takes care of the loading. Your chauffeur knows the route

At the wheel sits a chauffeur with the passenger transport licence required by law and years of experience. Confidentiality and local knowledge are part of the role, as is a calm driving style, which is what makes the chassis's qualities noticeable in the first place. For international guests, a multilingual driver is available on request.
