Discovering Hamburg: a city tour with a chauffeur

The city is at its best when you have nothing to take care of. Your chauffeur handles the route, the timing and the parking while you take in the port, the Speicherstadt and the Elbe from the back seat.

  • The route and the stops as you want them
  • One to three hours, or a whole day
  • Your driver waits at every stop

Your Pace

A city tour of Hamburg at your own pace

At a glance

A city tour with Driversline in Hamburg lasts one to three hours as you prefer and follows a route agreed with you, with stops of your own choosing.

A few kilometres separate the Landungsbrücken from the Außenalster, and yet they are two entirely different cities. You decide how long you stay in one place, when you get out and whether another stop is added on the spur of the moment. Your driver waits while you take photographs, drink a coffee or simply let your eye wander across the Elbe. There are no fixed departure times.

Highlights

Places in the city worth seeing

Some guests want to see the famous landmarks, others look for the quiet corners away from the tourist routes. Both can be combined in one tour, because you are not tied to a fixed itinerary. Say what you would like beforehand, or decide on the way. Frequently requested stops are:

The Elbphilharmonie and the HafenCity Speicherstadt The Landungsbrücken and the old Elbe tunnel The Reeperbahn and St Pauli The Binnenalster and the Außenalster Blankenese, Övelgönne and the Elbe beach
  • The Elbphilharmonie and the HafenCity

With a view of the Plaza.

  • Speicherstadt

    With brick facades and canals.

  • The Landungsbrücken and the old Elbe tunnel

Two landmarks right beside each other.

  • The Reeperbahn and St Pauli

By day as much as in the evening.

  • The Binnenalster and the Außenalster

    With the grand villas.

  • Blankenese, Övelgönne and the Elbe beach

The bank of the Elbe west of the city.

Destinations beyond the city limits can be added too, such as the Altes Land or Lübeck. For tours like that, allow half a day or a whole one, so there is time enough to stop along the way.

Private Tours

A private tour instead of a full coach

Coaches run fixed routes at fixed times, with stops that are the same for everyone. On a private tour only you and your party are in the vehicle. Conversations stay between you, the pace follows what suits you, and children or older members of the family have no long waits to fill. For guests with luggage or a tight connection afterwards, that difference is felt.

Anyone visiting the city for the first time gains from the local knowledge at the wheel as well. Your chauffeur knows the way round when the Elbe bridges are closed, knows when the Speicherstadt is least crowded and, if you wish, suggests restaurants or exhibitions. On request a professional guide accompanies the tour.

The Cars

A sedan or a van with fittings a cut above

The vehicles on offer are built for spending longer inside them. In the sedan two or three of you travel with plenty of legroom; in the van a small group sits together and keeps a clear view outside. Air conditioning, fine upholstery and a quiet ride make the drive between the stops part of the experience.

Multilingual chauffeurs for international guests

If you are receiving business partners or family from abroad, a multilingual chauffeur handles the conversation during the drive. Tours are possible in German and English, with further languages on request – do ask. Every driver holds the passenger transport licence required by law and brings years of experience.

Short Stays

Sightseeing in a narrow window

Business travellers often have only a few hours between two appointments. In that time a compact route can be put together that covers the main points and ends punctually at the hotel, the airport or the conference venue. Connecting journeys is planned in from the start, so that you need not arrange a second vehicle.

The tour works just as well as a gift to a client or as the supporting programme of an event. Delegations, guests of honour and visiting teams see the city in peace, and the organising rests entirely with us.
